After some more perusing and some reality hits, we've decided 3rd apartment is probably our best bet. After a lot of back and forth confusion, the apartment manager assistant's woman inability to answer simple questions actually helped our application get pushed through faster.

Our move-in date is a tentative October 12th.

We have a bed and a TV, along with a few cleaning supplies.
